Here we go again!

I have a huge list of things I have to do in the shop tomorrow. I need to order several items and I just need to make myself do it.

It’s not like its hard, but I think that some times I become overwhelmed at what the cost is. If I had a million dollars, well we have lots of cool things in the shop.

My list of things to order tomorrow is:

Hoffman for books, Fleur de Paris, several items, Wichelt for fabric, Access Commodities for silks, JABC for buttons, Thread Gatherer for silk overdyes to name a few. I think the list is back by my desk at the shop computer.

Ok enough about work!!! I need to get going on the mystery design I am working on, I have several more things to add to that then get them charted so that I can begin stitching. I’m sort of waiting for the fibers to come from Dinky Dyes to help choose the colors I’m going to use. I did get the Petite Treasure Braid from Rainbow Gallery and I choose those colors already. As soon as I get the fibers all picked out then I will pick a fabric to work on, after that I’ll get a hold of my contact for the beads and get them lined up as well. I have to have this completed by July.

Add to the fact that I am currently stitching several things by the designer Martina Weber. I’m doing her Christmas Mystery #3, and her big mystery #9, as well as MTM. I’m behind on the last 2 mentioned. I’m also stitching the online class Alpine Seasons, I’m on part 5. That one is completed, it ended in February of this year, and I joined in December. So I think I’m doing pretty good considering that I started so late. I really want to get that one done, it’s just awesome. I’ll try to get a photo posted of my progress as soon as I figure out how to do that.

My wip list is so long that it would take up way too much room to list everything. There are several of my own designs that are just waiting for me to get moving on them as well. I like stitching my own stuff, and so far it has been a bit strange seeing other people stitching my stuff. Not sure why, it just is. I think I’m not real confident about my designs, even though I have 2 distributors that handle my designs. Guess that’s something at least.

I have several favorite designers, not that I’m stitching anything of theirs right now since I’m up to my arm pits in Martina’s designs. I love Lizzie Kate, Bent Creek, Heart in Hand, Mosey and Me, Just Nan, Val’s Stuff, 4 My Boys, La De Da, Some Emie Bishop, (don’t tell my mom she thinks I really hate Hardanger), Janice Clayton and Earth and Sky designs.

There are all the Libby Sturdys I have to do which I just adore and the list could go on for a long time.

I sort of got burned out on Shepherd’s Bush, I like their stuff a lot, but I have stitched so much of it that I think I do not need any more. I get side tracked in my stitching tastes at times. I am developing a thing for antique samplers and Carriage House Samplings has one that I really want to do, but not sure where I would put it in my home. Guess that’s the fun of stitching, you work the needle for the sheer joy of stitching.

Well I better get to that needle so I can make some progress for today.

Till tomorrow
