Where did Monday go?

As I recall, I was supposed to do a huge list of stuff on Monday. Well, ok, now I think it should happen on Thursday. First off, I need to have someone here to help my mom up front while I work back here calling vendors and such. Then there is the customer issue. Since my mom’s eye surgery, I have to cut the fabric. Not a problem, but it does make it hard for me to get back here for any length of time. My best friend Jo should have come in today then I could have done the ordering, but she was AWOL. So needless to say, the list is getting longer as we "speak".

Besides the fact that I was late getting here, I had to work at the bagel place yesterday AM. So I was behind the power curve all day long. Enough whining, my cheese is at home and no good whine should happen without some good cheese.

My design! The Winter Mystery, WOW, I got the Dinky Dyes in the mail yesterday and I have to say that Jo Mason is a fabulous person. The color combinations are amazing. I wonder what type of silk she uses. I also like Thread Gatherer, Silk N’ Colors and the Gloriana Threads stranded silk as well, but they are not as soft. That silk must be from a different part of the world. Different worms spin different silk I guess. I digress; I picked the colors to go with the Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure Braids I want to use. Amazing! I picked the fabric. I’m going to use a solid no matter how much a hand dye screams at me. Now it’s the beads. I decided to use Delica beads, we do not carry them here in the shop, but I have a super lady back east that is willing to help me out with large amounts of beads. Then my luck still running strong, I now have a crystal lady to help me as well. I’m so excited I can hardly stand it. So now I have to get fibers to both of them and let them do their expert thing so that I can get this project started. If anyone out there is actually reading this, you will have to wait till it’s released to Hoffman Distributors of Norden Crafts, my book distributors, to see the completed piece. That is of course unless I put a photo of it here when the mystery is over.

No real exciting stuff going on here today, no deliveries of any kind so it was basically an answer the phone kind of day. I have the UFO ladies coming in tonight, so I get to stitch on my Alpine Seasons by Martina Weber tonight. I really enjoy these evenings of the ladies coming in, the talk, and the projects. I forget that I know all these ladies, but they might not know each other. Different personality types abound and we all have a passion to stitch.

My dad is full of little saying, there is one back here on the desk right now that I will close with for today.

CROSS STITCH IS

NOT A WAY

OF LIFE - IT IS LIFE.

Thanks Daddy
