Wednesday is my day off. So do I stitch or do I clean the house?
Today I did a bit of both. Mainly I did laundry. I think I need a maid. Or better yet, I need a husband that does not get his clothes dirty. Actually its not his fault, there has been a lot of things going on so far this year that has put me way behind at home. I need about a month to catch up. I already know that’s not going to happen in the next few weeks. My mom has her second eye surgery next Wednesday so I will have to try very hard to keep on top of stuff here at home. Add to that the 2 puppies we have who still have not connected that you go to the door to be let out to go potty. As a result, I have lots of dog towels to wash every week. I hate that part, but eventually they get the hang of it and I have fewer towels to wash.
I’m still stitching on Alpine Seasons, still doing that border, but it looks awesome. I want to stitch on it all the time, forget eating or anything else, I have to stitch on that project. I can’t wait to see the next part of it completed. I’m also getting anxious to get started on my Mystery design. Jo’s coming in tomorrow to help me finalize some colors, she has a good eye, and take photos of fabric and fibers to send to the crystal lady and the bead lady. Then we can get started on the sparkly part of the design.
I have been thinking that I want to change the middle part. Tweak it a bit. Make it a bit more sensational. Well who knows it could yet happen.
I dread the end of the week because that’s when I have to work at my second job. I actually really enjoy it, but the getting up super early really stinks. By Sunday it’s all I can to stay awake till 8PM, seriously cuts in to my quality stitching time. I also listen to books on tape or cd. It’s a great way to accomplish 2 of my favorite things, stitching and reading. Whoever invented books on tape has my vote for life. It is so much more entertaining that TV. Yes, I do watch TV and there are some shows I really like, but if I’m hooked on a story forget TV, the cd gets popped in and I sit content stitching away while the characters live their lives. Right now I’m on book 3 of the wheel of time by Robert Jordan. AWESOME stuff, I really am caught up in the story. Even better books are the ones by Janet Evanovich, the Stephanie Plum series. Major good time that set of books, then there is Harry Potter, the Dragon Riders of Pern and Clive Cussler. I’m also into the alphabet stories by Sue Grafton. Have to say that the longer the book the better it is for the BOT since I do not have to suffer the end of book let down so often.
Well it’s back to work tomorrow, and I will get that ordering completed, I also have to make some kits for a few customers that have been very patient with me.
Have to get ready for my mom to be out of the shop for a few days as well.
