Needle Nutz, Inc.

Well here it is Saturday again and the 1st of April as well. So no April fools for me!

First of all I will not be at the shop again until Monday. Then I have to get the things done I was supposed to do last week. I got none of that done. As a matter of fact, it was hard to get anything done since I was also trying to adjust to the new work schedule at Einstein’s as well. So I just sat and watched everyone stitch. I really could not concentrate. I hope to be a bit better than that next week.

I still have to look for the completed designs that Linda has already graphed for me, then figure out what Nutz Puppyz I need to make to put on their covers. Then at some point I am going to have to spend a Sunday making them so we can get those charts ready to release.

I just finished downloading the new graphs for the 3 groups I’m in of Martina Weber’s. I am so behind in the Mystery #9, not to mention Medieval Town Mandela. I think catching up on the mystery will be easier, but I’m pretty far behind on MTM, but at lest I have the charts for it. Unless I get really tired of working on Alpine Seasons then I might work on MTM and do the mystery at home. I also have to fit in my own design that I need to work on. The good news for that one is that I have gotten the chart all broken down into 12 installments so that part is completed. I still have not nailed down what colors will go where. That is going to take me a bit longer. Then I have to decide which beads and crystals to use. I have got to get some fibers to my bead lady so she can help me with that.

I went to the bead place here on Wednesday, spent way too much time there, only to come home pretty frustrated. There were big areas where there were no beads, so I ask if they had all of them out or did they need to re-stock. The girl informed me that every thing was out and that they would be re-ordering in 6 weeks. UGH! Are you kidding me? What a way to run a business. I mean 6 weeks. Honestly I was shocked. So I said a bit snootily that I guess I would order them off the web. She was not happy with me, but hey what am I supposed to do? Wait till June to decide what beads I want to use in my design. This is when I am really glad I actually have someone that has their stuff together in the same bag so to speak.

On a different topic I hate going to the Post Office. I really do! I do not mind doing the mail orders getting the stuff together and all that it the darn Post Office. I hate the new system they have for waiting in line. I’m not sure that it is the same in other states but give me a break. Last time I was there, to mail a simple envelope; there was a line way out the door and 1 person on duty. They had been open 2 whole hours. I’m thinking that after being at work for 2 hours you are not in need of a break. But not the way the US Postal Service looks at it. These guys and gals have to go on break when they are told to go no matter how many people are in line. So out of 6 windows one person was working and I can tell you that there were a lot of very angry people in that line. I was there almost an hour and I was number 16 in line. I watched as 1 person came back from break only to have the person on duty go on his break. Then we waited again as this new guy had to log into his computer count his stamps and all that happy stuff. When I was the next person in line 4 new people came on duty all at one time. Amazing! I’m sure things speeded up after that. We even had one lady ask to see the postmaster and she got person #2, but she read them the riot act, people in line actually applauded her for her spirit. Then eventually the big boss came out to look and by then super lady was gone and there were 2 people on duty. What a jerk. So as I type this I am working up a good head of steam to go to the Post Office. Wish me luck!
