Needle Nutz, Inc.

Well, it sure has been a very long time. first I forget my password, then I forget how to log in. So I guess it’s a very good thing that the site has been changed.

Now for the latest update on personal stuff.

Aspen had a puppy in October, only 1. He was named Misiu (me sue), guess that’s Polish for “bear”. Anyway, he is now a rich puppy living in Florida. Maybe I can get a photo posted of him on here. All the other dogs are fine, shaved down and growing in coat.

I’m still working on the same Martina Webers that I was last year, not to mention that I have signed up for a few more. I am into self torment I guess. I sure do love her stuff.

I have not really been designing, have some ideas, but have not published anything for a long time. I guess I should be getting to that soon. There are several in the pipeline, some need directions, several just need photos.

Currently, like today I am helping a customer put beads on her daughter’s wedding dress. Not what I would normally be doing, but it’s a change of pace. The dress will be wonderful when it’s completed.

We have had the worst all time weather this year, we have actually had to close the shop on several occasions due to the snow and lack of heat here in the shop. Now that the heat is working it can be very nice in here. We are actually afraid to turn it off so some days it can get very warm in here. Wonder if the air conditioning will work this summer?

Well I think I will wander back to the front and start beading again. There will be more later.

Recently the “old” web site got hacked.

Nothing really major, they just defaced the main page. Easy enough to fix, but it would still be open to the remote code injection vulnerability that Mambo has right now. Since my brother and I had already set this blog in place for Meg, this is as good a time as any to bring it live.

We have imported Meg’s posts from the old site, and reformatted them a bit to make them display correctly. I still have a few things to setup on the blog, and a couple of things to add, but hopefully Meg will start posting here soon.

Well now that my DH has given me a new passowrd, I’m back!I really need to write my password down someplace. This is the second time I have forgotten it. This time I had to have the Husband give me a new one.

Well as to what’s new. Several things are new actually. We have a lot of new books, but they are selling fast. We also have the new Caron Watercolours, Wild Flowers and Waterlilies. Just arrived today. Wonderful colors and I love the way the silk feels.

Tomorrow we will be doing a major re-arrange since we have currently run out of space where we hang these fibers. So it will be job security for me for several days as I go through and make sure we have all the colors and if not, leave a space for it and get it ordered. I’m also going to be ordering the Needlepoint Silks this week; I’m so excited about that.

We have several designs that call for that fiber so it’s about time we got it in here.

Guess that’s it for now, have lots more to say, but I’m the only one here now so I need to get back to work.

Till next time.

What’s new at the shop.

Wow. I ordered several new books and they came in yesterday. I forgot what I had ordered only that they are all really cool. At least to me they are. I remember several of them so I’ll pass that info along.

We got 3 charts from Lavender Wings. Candy Cane Kisses, a band sampler without any decorative stitches. It’s really a cute piece and I want to stitch it now! The other is called HO HO HO, it has Santa holding those words on a string. I also want to stitch that one right now. Another one that I really liked is from Ewe and its called Room For Ewe, and it has a sheep sitting in an overstuffed chair. Way cute! We got the new White Christmas from Mirabilla, amazing what that lady can do every time. Becky Boo’s has a really sweet design out called Let It Snow, it’s snowmen that can be made into tree ornaments, but I think I’m going to do them all on one piece of fabric. There is another one by her that’s called Sweet Tooth; it has Santa holding up a string of cookies. There are buttons from Just Another Button Company on this one

Actually there are so many that are really great. I think that the designers have been very busy these past few months. I can remember some titles, but not the designers and I would hate to slight them, so I will try to get on here tomorrow when I am actually at the shop to include them in the list. Oh, Barb Peterson from Something In Common has 2 new designs out that we just got in as well. I’m so glad to see her going back to her woodland roots. I love her moose and bear and the outside creatures in her samplers. I have stashed both of those back as well to add to my bedroom walls as soon as I get them stitched.

Not to mention all the really neat Halloween ones we got in. I’m going to have to put Martina on a back burner and get out my turbo needles to get this stuff stitched before the holidays begin. Always wanting new models in the shop and I better get busy. There were several that were already out of stock when I ordered so I will be placing an order again this next week. We are going to be stuffed to bursting with new books.

We still have not ordered the Needlepoint Inc Silks, but I hope to get that done before fall arrives.

One of our silk distributors (Gloriana) is moving, so getting things from her for awhile will be a real stinker. I expect thing to be back to normal for her mid August at best.

Summer market is coming up and the designers always save their best things for that time, so by August we should have some really outstanding new things.

We ordered an up light for me to try out on one of my many Martina projects, and I think we will be handling them in the shop as well if I like it. So if you are local and you want to try it out come on in. That’s another reason we got it. Let the customers try it out.

Have a great day stitching.

Today is a great day to stay inside since its raining here. I get to brush a dog and do laundry.

You know you have made it big when some body is selling your designs on E-bay.

Yes indeedie do, while brousing e-bay this afternoon I discovered that 2 of my charts are posted there. Amazing, actually it’s a good buy because they are cheeper than wholesale. So go snap them up, if you like Santa’s that is.
